Fanfic written by Drassil (David) in 2012. Set mostly around the very end of Knightmare Series 4, the story is named after the playing card that Brother Mace held up to Team 8 of Series 4, and follows a quest undertaken by Mace, Mellisandre and Gundrada in response to a message on the card. The fates and origins of several Knightmare characters are addressed during the story.

The Three of Hearts' references to another TV series are overt enough to give it crossover fanfic status. It can be read on Knightmare.com or Fanfiction.net. Michael Cule, who played Brother Mace, has described it as 'flattering'.
